Why Does Route TT and Route AA Need Improvements?
Eighteen culverts are structurally deficient along Route TT and one on Route AA. Many of these culverts are the original structures established when the roadbed was built over 80 years ago. These culverts consist of corrugated metal, iron and clay pipes that have deteriorated.
What Improvements on Route TT and Route AA Are Being Proposed?
MoDOT will replace approximately 18 aging drainage pipes and box culverts along Route TT and one box culvert on Route AA. Approximately $1/2 million is budgeted for construction of this project.
How Will Traffic Be Impacted While Construction Is Under Way?
Temporary road closures may be necessary while crews replace the drainage pipes and box culverts along the routes.
When Will Construction Take Place?
Construction is expected to begin in Winter 2012-2013. The project is expected to be complete in Fall 2013.
