Route MM Improvement Project II
(Route 21 to Route 30)
This is an aerial view of the finished Route MM improvement project from east of Duda Drive to Sycamore Springs Road.
Project Information
Highway MM is a 4.3-mile long roadway that extends from Highway 21 to Highway 30 in Jefferson County. It serves as the business corridor for House Springs and is an important link in the east/west roadway system connecting Interstate 55 to Interstate 44. In the last decade, the two-lane, curvy, no shoulder roadway has experienced increased traffic, crashes and congestion. Federal funds were appropriated to improve this corridor’s safety and congestion problems. In 2002, one section of the roadway was improved by adding shoulders; turn lanes; and straightening the roadway curves. The remaining sections of Highway MM are currently under construction with improvements similar to the 2002 improved section of roadway.
Project Update: October 12, 2010
