Richardson Road at Route 61/67 (Jeffco Blvd.)

What Is The Problem With The Route 61/ 67 (Jeffco Blvd.)  at Richardson Road Intersection?

Route 61/67 (Jeffco Blvd.) is currently a four-lane roadway that runs north and south and has two lanes in each direction with one left turn lane directed to westbound Richardson Road. Richardson Road intersects Route 61/67 (Jeffco Blvd.) and currently has two lanes in each direction with one dedicated right turn lane for southbound Route 61/67 (Jeffco Blvd.). There has been an increased number of crashes at this intersection due to the congestion caused by the high volume of vehicles that make these turning movements daily.

What Is The Proposed Solution?

MoDOT investigated different options and concluded that the best solution would be to address all of the safety and congestion concerns at this location by providing additional turning lanes to the intersection.  Under this proposal, an additional left turn lane will be added from northbound Route 61/67 (Jeffco Blvd.) to westbound Richardson Road as well as a dedicated separate right turn lane from eastbound Richardson Road to southbound Route 61/67 (Jeffco Blvd.).

Estimated Project Cost:

Approximately $750,000 is budgeted for construction.
