The following projects are currently planned for improvements to I-70 though St. Charles County:
- I-70 at Wentzville Parkway – Construct a right turn lane from Wentzville Parkway to westbound I-70 and dual left turn lanes to eastbound I-70. Construction should run from summer 2008 to fall 2008. Drivers can expect some lane closures during non-peak travel times during the day. There should be moderate impacts to traffic. Work on this project is complete, except for some minor issues.
- I-70 north outer road at Shady Springs – Install a traffic signal. Construction was completed in summer 2008.
- I-70 south outer road at Jungermann Road – Replace traffic signal. This project will replace the current wire signal spanning the road with a permanent mast arm system. Work has begun and should be complete within a few weeks. There should be minimal impacts to traffic.
