Bollinger County

Construction Projects

Route 72 - Apex Paving widening and relocating a curve just west of the Sale Barn in Patton. The contractor will haul dirt from a borrow area across from Meadow Heights School.  Drivers can expect trucks entering and leaving the area daily as work continues on the relocation.  Traffic in this area will also be reduced to one lane, so motorists should expect some delays.

Roadway Maintenance

Route 34 in Bollinger County will be reduced to one lane while Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform drainage repairs.  This section of roadway is located from County Road 820 to Route Y.

Weather permitting, the work will take place Friday, Nov. 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Butler County

Construction Projects

Roadway Maintenance

Route 67 in Butler County will be reduced to one lane while MoDOT crews continue to perform concrete repairs in the northbound lanes.  This section of roadway is located from one mile north of Business Route 67 to one and a half miles north of Business Route 67. Weather permitting, traffic will be reduced to one lane Monday, Nov. 24 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Cape Girardeau County

Construction Projects

Route 34/72 - County Road 328 will remain closed for the next couple of months while the contractor is placing new concrete pavement. Route 34 will be reduced to one lane from County Road 335 to the Route 34/72 intersection for concrete paving.  Lane reductions are in place at the Route 34/72 intersection while paving is underway.  Concrete pavement construction resumes Monday, Sept. 22, weather permitting.  Gaines Construction will be pouring concrete at approximately 7 a.m.  Traffic will be reduced to one lane with delays expected.  Work will continue through Tuesday.  Work will then focus on preparing to move eastbound traffic to the new concrete pavement starting just east of the Cane Creek Bridge to County Road 335, where the four-lane project was completed last year.  Traffic is expected to be shifted near the end of this month.  Westbound traffic will not be affected at this time.  MoDOT again encourages drivers to take alternate routes, carpool or avoid peak travel times (between 6 and 8 a.m. and 3 and 6 p.m.) if possible to lessen those impacts. Work should be complete by the end of the year.

A contractor hired by MoDOT began installing guardcable in late June.Installation is planned to continue through mid November. Southbound I-55 traffic will be reduced to one lane from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily.The guardcable installation will be a moving operation from Route E at Oak Ridge to Route 60 at Sikeston and should  continue thru Dec. 12.  The entire project includes installing high-tension guardcable in the median along the southbound lane side of I-55.  Motorists are urged to use extreme caution in the work zone.

Route 177 in Cape Girardeau County will continue to be reduced to one lane with a 14 foot width restriction while MoDOT crews perform concrete repairs. This section of roadway is located at the intersection of Route 177 and Route 61 near Fruitland extending to Route V.Weather permitting, traffic will be reduced to one Monday, Nov. 17 thru Friday, Nov. 21 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.

Route 25 in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced to one lane while MoDOT crews perform drainage work in southbound lane.  This section of roadway is located from Route 77 to County Road 249 at Bloemeyer.  Weather permitting, the work will take place Friday, Nov. 21 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday, Nov. 24 and Tuesday, Nov. 25 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Route EE in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced to one lane while MoDOT crews perform drainage work.  This section of roadway is located from Route 25 at Delta to County Road 264.  Weather permitting, the work will take place Monday, Nov. 24 and Tuesday, Nov. 25 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.

Interstate 55 in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced to one lane while MoDOT crews perform concrete repairs in the southbound lanes.  This section of roadway is located from Route 74 to Route AB.   Weather permitting, traffic will be reduced to one lane Monday, Nov. 24 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.   

Route AB in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced to one lane while MoDOT crews perform concrete repairs.  This section of roadway is located from Interstate 55 to County Road 218.   Weather permitting, traffic will be reduced to one lane Monday, Nov. 24 thru Wednesday, Nov. 26 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.

Route 77 in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced to one lane while MoDOT crews perform drainage work. This section of roadway is located from County Road 220 to Route 25.Weather permitting, the work will take place Thursday, Nov. 20 and Friday, Nov. 21 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.

Madison County

Construction Projects

Route 67--A contractor hired by MoDOT is working on Route 67 to construct additional lanes for the upgrade to four lanes in Madison, Wayne and Butler Counties.  Currently most of the activity is grading work from Route E to the Wayne County line. Drivers should be cautious of trucks entering and leaving the roadway. The work is expected to be completed in late 2010.

Route 67 from County Road 412 to County Road 411 will be reduced to one lane starting Tuesday, Sept. 2, as work progresses on the Route 67 four-lane improvements in Madison County.  Excavation will take place to the east of existing Route 67 and must be hauled to the west of the existing highway to build the embankment for the new lanes.  Drivers can expect possible five-minute delays at the flagger-controlled work zone from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.  The equipment crossing is expected to be in place through the end of October.

Route 72 from the Highway 67 East Outer Road to Kingsbury Boulevard will be reduced to one lane as Bross Construction starts shoulder work.  Traffic will be reduced to one lane between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily with both east and westbound lanes affected at various times with lane closures.  The project is the first phase of relocating Route 72 north of its current intersection with Route OO and constructing a roundabout at Fredericktown.  Completion is expected in fall 2008.

Route 72 traffic at Fredericktown will be shifted to the north of the existing lanes and through the center of the new roundabout construction.  The traffic switch is necessary as work continues on the roundabout to construct the southern portion where traffic has been flowing.  Motorists may expect reduced speeds through the work zone and are urged to use caution as workers and equipment may be working close to the travel lanes.

County Road 402 in Madison County will be closed to thru traffic from Route 67 starting Wednesday, July 30, at 7 a.m., weather permitting. County Road 402 is located just north of the intersection of Route A and Route 67.  The closure is necessary as grading to build the new lanes of Route 67 progresses from just south of Fredericktown to the Madison/Wayne County line. 

Route 67 – Bross Construction resurfacing and installing guardrail.  Traffic reduced to one lane in various locations daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

As Route 67 lane improvements continue in Madison County, equipment will be crossing Route 67.  Weather permitting, the equipment crossings are expected to take place Thursday, Oct. 30 through Wednesday, Dec. 31.Traffic through the work zone will be flagger controlled.  When equipment is crossing, travelers can expect up to five-minute delays between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily.There will also be an eleven foot width restrictionThe equipment crossings will be located between County Roads 411 and 412 one and a half miles north of Route N and also between one and a half miles to two and a half miles south of Route N.

Mississippi County

Roadway Maintenance         

Interstate 57 in Mississippi County will be reduced to one lanewhile Missouri Department of Transportation crews continue to perform concrete repairs in the northbound lane.  This section of roadway is located at Exit 10 at Charleston. Weather permitting, traffic will be reduced to one lane starting Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 7:30 a.m. and will now reopen Monday, Nov. 24 at 4:00 p.m.

New Madrid County

Roadway Maintenance

Route EE in New Madrid County will be reduced to one lane with a 12 foot restriction while MoDOT crews perform drainage repairs.  This section of roadway is located from West Elm Street to County Road 311. Weather permitting, traffic will be reduced to one lane Monday, Nov. 17 thru Friday, Nov. 21 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily.

Interstate 55 in New Madrid County will be reduced to one lane with a width restriction of 16 feet while MoDOT crews perform concrete repairs in the southbound lanes.  This section of roadway is located from two miles south of Route 80 to three miles south of Route 80.  Weather permitting, traffic will be reduced to one lane at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 21 and will reopen at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 25.      

Interstate 55 in New Madrid County will be reduced to one lane while Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform concrete repairs in the southbound lane.  This section of roadway is located from Route AA to St. Johns Ditch Bridge.Weather permitting, traffic will be reduced to one lane Monday, Nov.  24 at 7:30 a.m. and will reopen Wednesday, Nov. 26 at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Pemiscot County

Roadway Maintenance

Interstate 55 in Pemiscot County will be reduced to one lane with an 16 foot width restriction while MoDOT crews perform concrete repairs in the northbound lanes. This section of roadway is located between Route J and Route T.Weather permitting, traffic will be will continue to be reduced to one lane thru Nov. 21 until approximately 4:00 p.m.

Interstate 55 in Pemiscot County will be reduced to one lane while MoDOT crews perform concrete repairs in the northbound lanes. This section of roadway is located six miles north of Route 84 and extends for one mile.Weather permitting, traffic will be reduced to one lane beginning Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 8:00 a.m. thru Friday, Nov. 21 ending at 3:00 p.m.

Route P in Pemiscot County will be reduced to one lane while MoDOT crews perform routine bridge repairs.  This section of roadway is located from three miles south of Route A to County Road 250 near Bragg City.  Weather permitting, repairs will be made Monday, Nov. 24 and Tuesday, Nov. 25 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily.

Perry County

Construction Projects

Interstate 55 in Perry County will be reduced to one lane with a while a contractor stripes the roadway.  This section of roadway is located in the northbound lane from Route B to Route 51 at Perryville. Weather permitting, traffic will be reduced to one lane Monday, Nov. 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

 

Roadway Maintenance

Burlington Northern Railroad will be making repairs to the tracks on Route E in Perry County. Route E will be closed Friday, Nov. 21 at 6:30 a.m. and will reopen at approximately 5:00 p.m. that day.This section of roadway is located between County Road 322 and County Road 218 .

Scott County

Construction Projects

Route 60/I-57 in Scott County will be reduced to one lane with a 16 foot width restriction while a contractor performs guardrail repairs.  This section of roadway is located from St. John’s ditch to the Route AA overpass. Weather permitting, both northbound and southbound will be reduced to one lane beginning at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 19 and will reopen at approximately noon on Friday, Nov. 21.

Route 25 in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced to one lane while MoDOT crews perform drainage work in southbound lane.  This section of roadway is located from Route 77 to County Road 249 at Bloemeyer.  Weather permitting, the work will take place Friday, Nov. 21 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday, Nov. 24 and Tuesday, Nov. 25 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

St. Francois County

Construction Projects

Temporary median crossovers will continue to be in use next week as Route 67 traffic is moved from the northbound lanes to the southbound lanes at 7 a.m. on Monday, November 24, weather permitting.Northbound Route 67 will be reduced to one lane with two lanes available for southbound traffic between Stormy Lane and the Route 47 Interchange at Bonne Terre.  Traffic signals at Orchard Road will still be in operation. The change to traffic is necessary as excavation and bridgework begins across the northbound lanes for the new underpass at Orchard Road for the new interchange.  Traffic is expected to be on the southbound lanes for about six weeks, with full four-lane availability resuming early next year, weather permitting. 

Route 221 will be reduced to one lane on the bridge over the St. Francis River, approximately 1 mile south of Farmington on Route 221 for bridge repairs.  Temporary traffic signals, barrels and work zone signing will be in place around the clock to direct traffic through the work area. Motorists should expect delays of 5 to 10 minutes throughout the duration of the lane closure.

Route 67 in St. Francois County will be reduced to one lane while MoDOT crews perform pavement repairs.  Repairs will be made in the southbound lanes from Commonwealth Drive to just south of Route 32.  Route 67 will also be reduced to one lane from Shannon Road to Route Y.  Repairs in both locations will begin Friday, Nov. 21 at 8:00 a.m. and will reopen at approximately 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25.

Route 32 in St. Francois County will be reduced to one lane while MoDOT crews perform pavement repairs.  This section of roadway is located from Woodlawn Drive to US Route 67.  Weather permitting, repairs will be made Monday, Nov. 24 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Northbound Route 67 in St. Francois County will be reduced to one lane as MoDOT crews perform routine bridge maintenance.  Weather permitting, traffic will be reduced to one lane Tuesday thru Friday, starting Dec. 2 and ending Jan. 9, 2009 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. This section of roadway is located between Route DD and Route H, the bridge over St. Francois River.

Stoddard County

Roadway Maintenance

Route AA in Stoddard County will be closed while MoDOT crews cut trees next to the roadway. The work will be between at Route 25 and Route J.Weather permitting, the work will take place Monday, Nov. 24 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. that day

Route U in Stoddard County will be reduced to one lane while MoDOT crews patch the roadway. 

This section of roadway is located from the St. Francis River bridge to one mile east on Route U.  

Weather permitting, the repairs will be made Tuesday, Nov. 25 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Route H in Stoddard County will be reduced to one lane while MoDOT crews patch the roadway. 

This section of roadway is located from Route U to Route ZZ.   Weather permitting, the repairs will be made Wednesday, Nov. 26 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

 

Wayne County

Construction Projects

Route 67 - An equipment crossing will be in place on Route 67 just north of Greenville. Traffic will be controlled by a new set of traffic signals installed on Route 67. Weather permitting, drivers should see the signals and the equipment crossing on Monday, Oct. 20, and it should continue in this area until the end of the year. Travelers should expect up to six-minute delays between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily, including weekends.

Route 67 – Robertson Contractors Inc. is nearing completion of the new four-lane bridge over Lake Wappapello south of Greenville. Completion is expected later this fall.

Route 34 in Wayne County will be reduced to one lane while MoDOT crews perform shoulder repairs.  This section of roadway will begin at County Road 341A to just west of Junction of Route N.Weather permitting, traffic will be reduced to one lane Monday, Nov. 24 and Tuesday, Nov. 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
