Cass County
Route 7: Construction of a new stormwater drain system will restrict traffic on Route 7 between the MKT Railroad and Commercial Street from June 23 through late July Route 71: Shoulder work on the right turn at Commercial Street on northbound Route 71 could restrict traffic through September.

Route D: Culvert placement will restrict traffic on Route D between Routes A and Y Monday, June 30 through Thursday, July 3.

Clay County
I-29: Utility work will close one lane in various locations along north and southbound I-29 between Bedford Avenue and Route 210 (Armour Blvd.) from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 29.

I-29: Modification of the roadway will close the ramp from northbound I-29 to northbound Route 283 (North Oak Trafficway) from 9 a.m. June 24 through Thursday, July 3.

I-29: Placement of an electrical cable over the highway will close northbound and southbound I-29 for about 15 minutes between Front Street and Route 210 sometime from 8 to 9 a.m. and possibly again between 2 and 3 p.m. Sunday, June 29. This closure will briefly halt traffic on the Front Street on-ramp to northbound I-29, the Levee Road on-ramp to northbound I-29, and the 16th Street on-ramp to southbound I-29.

Route 69: Utility work will restrict traffic at night on northbound Route 69 from Route 283 to Route 1 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, June 1, through July 11.

Route 283: Utility work will restrict traffic at night on northbound and southbound Route 283 between 42nd Street and Route 69 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. through July 11.

Route 283: Utility work will restrict traffic at night on northbound and southbound Route 283 between 42nd Street and Briarcliff Drive from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. through July 11.

Route 169: Bridgework will close various lanes along southbound Route 169 over Harlem Road Saturday, June 28 from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Route 169: Bridgework will close a lane along southbound Route 169 between Route 9 and Woodswether Road Saturday, June 28 from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Jackson County
I-29: Bridgework will close the exit ramp from northbound I-29 to Independence Avenue on Monday, June 30 after 5 p.m. through the end of September.

I-35: Shoulder widening will close the left lane of southbound I-35 between Paseo and Independence Avenue from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 1 until Thursday, July 3.

I-70: Curb removal will close the left lane of westbound I-70 between Admiral Blvd and I-35 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, June 29.

I-70: Cleaning operations will restrict traffic along westbound I-70 between Route 7 and Route 291 on Monday, June 30 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

I-70: Cleaning operations will restrict traffic along eastbound I-70 between I-470 and Route 7 on Monday, June 30 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

I-70: Pavement striping will restrict traffic at night on eastbound I-70 between Route 24 and Route 40 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Saturday, June 28.

I-70: The ramp from northbound I-35 to westbound I-70 (from the west side of the downtown loop to the Lewis Clark Viaduct Bridge) will be closed for bridge expansion joint repairs beginning 8 p.m. on Monday, July 7 through mid-August.

I-70: Expansion joint work on the Lewis and Clark Viaduct will shift traffic to the two right lanes of eastbound I-70 beginning 8 a.m. Sunday, June 29 and continuing through the end of August.

I-70: The ramp from eastbound I-70 to I-35 will reopen by 8 a.m. Sunday, June 29, as repairs continue on expansion joints of the Lewis and Clark Viaduct.

I-70: Expansion joint work on the Lewis and Clark Viaduct will reduce westbound I-70 over the West Bottoms to one lane and close both the ramp from Beardsley Road to westbound I-70 and the ramp from northbound Broadway to westbound I-70 through the end of September.

I-70: Bridge maintenance and redecking will close the ramp from Route 40 to eastbound I-70 and from westbound I-70 to Manchester Trafficway through mid-August.

I-435: Road work at night will close two lanes of southbound I-435 between Route 24 and the Missouri River beginning 7 p.m. Friday, June 27 until 6:30 a.m. Saturday, June 28 and again at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 30 until 6:30 a.m.

Route 12: Utility work will restrict traffic on eastbound and westbound Route 12 between Truman Road and Spring Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through July 5.

Route 71: Pavement repairs at night will close one lane of southbound Route 71 between Blue Ridge Boulevard and 155th Street from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, June 30 each night, through Thursday, July 3. After 9 p.m., two lanes will be closed each night until 7 a.m., reopening one lane until 8 a.m., when all lanes will be reopen daily.

Route 71: Pavement repairs at night will close two lanes of southbound Route 71 between Blue Ridge Boulevard and 155th Street from 4 p.m. to 8 a.m. Sunday, June 29 into Monday, June 30.

Route 150: New pavement construction will restrict traffic on eastbound and westbound Route 150 near Botts Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, June 20, through Friday, July 25.

Route 150: Roadside maintenance will restrict traffic on northbound and southbound Route BB between Route 40 to Route 24 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, June 26, through July 1.

Johnson County
Route BB: Bridge maintenance will restrict traffic along Route BB from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, June 30.

Lafayette County
I-70: Pavement repair will close the right lane of eastbound I-70 at Route 23 on Monday, June 30 from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.

I-70: Utility work will close the left lanes of eastbound and westbound I-170 at Route M on Saturday, June 28 from 6 - 8 a.m.

I-70: Placement of an electrical cable over the Interstate will close eastbound and westbound I-70 for about 15 minutes at Route M sometime from 6 to 8 a.m. Saturday, June 28.

Platte County
I-29/35: Resurfacing will close various lanes at night of north and southbound I-29/35 between Parvin Road and Armour Blvd. from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. daily through Thursday, July 3.

I-29/35: Paving will close the off-ramps at night from northbound and southbound I-29/35 to Parvin Road and on-ramps from Parvin Road to northbound and southbound I-29/35 from 7 p.m. until 6:30 a.m. each night through Thursday, July 3.

I-29: Pavement repairs will close the ramp at night from northbound I-29 to Route D (Cookingham) from 10 p.m. Monday, June 30 until 6 a.m. Tuesday, July 1.

I-29: Bridge work will close the right lane of southbound I-29 at Maple Leaf Road through August 28.

I-29: Bridge work will close the right lane of southbound I-29 between Route 273 and Route HH near Platte City through July 15.

I-29: Bridge work will restrict traffic on northbound and southbound I-29 at I-635 from 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, through Oct. 14.

I-29: Bridge work will restrict traffic on northbound I-29 at I-435 through Oct. 14.

I-29: Bridge work will restrict traffic on southbound I-29 between I-435 and Mexico City Avenue through Oct. 14.

I-29: Bridge rehabilitation and repairs will close the right lane of southbound I-29 at Todd Creek near the I-29/435 split, reducing traffic to a single left lane through Oct. 15.

I-29: Bridge rehabilitation and repairs will close the right lane of northbound I-29 at Todd Creek near the I-29/435 merger, reducing traffic to two lanes through Oct. 15.

I-29: Bridge rehabilitation and repairs will close the right lane of northbound and southbound I-29 at 56th Street, reducing traffic to two lanes in each direction through Oct. 15.

I-29: Bridge rehabilitation and

repairs will close the ramp from Route A to northbound I-29 through Oct. 15.

Route 9: Shoulder work will restrict traffic on southbound Route 9 near I-635 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. through July 1.

Route 45: Pavement striping will close one lane in various locations on both northbound and southbound Route 45 between I-29 and Route 9 on from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Monday, June 30.

Route 45: Shoulder work at the intersection will restrict traffic on Route 45 at Route 273 beginning 7 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, through Aug. 1.

Route D: Roadwork will restrict traffic on east and westbound lanes of Cookingham Drive (Route D) from Ferrelview to approximately 1.5 miles to the west through the end of July.
Route P: Utility work will restrict traffic on north and southbound Route P between Route 45 and Route V through July 10.

 

Long-Term Closures

Clay County

I-435: Paving operations will restrict traffic on northbound I-435 between Cookingham Drive and 108th Street from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. through July 1.

Route 9: Concrete paving will close the right lane of northbound Route 9 between Armour Road and Oak Street Trafficway from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. through July 31.

Route 9: Concrete paving will close the left lane of southbound Route 9 between Route 283 and Oak Street Trafficway from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. through July 31.

Route 69: Milling and resurfacing operations will restrict traffic on northbound Route 69 between Waukomis Drive and I-35 through Oct. 1, 2008.

Route 169: Pavement repairs and resurfacing will restrict traffic on northbound and southbound Route 169 from I-29 to a mile north of I-435 through Wednesday, July 30.

Jackson County
I-70: Expansion joint work on the Lewis and Clark Viaduct will restrict I-70 to one lane in each direction beginning Monday, May 19 and continue through Sept. 30.

Noland Road bridge over I-70: The bridge opened April 13, more than a month ahead of schedule. Bridge reconstruction will restrict lanes of Noland Road at the bridge over I-70, and one ramp may be closed at times for up to two weeks until work concludes this summer.

I-470/Route 50: Bridge construction has narrowed lanes through the interchange, and will close lanes in either direction during non-peak hours.

Route 150: Bridge replacement has reduced Route 150 to one narrow lane in each direction over Big Creek and the Union Pacific Railroad in Greenwood.

Route 12: Utility work will close the right lane of westbound Route 12 at Winner Road through Sept. 9.

Platte County

I-29: Bridge work will close the left lane of southbound I-29 over the Platte River between Route 273 and Route HH near Platte City through July 15.

I-29/Route 273: Bridge repairs, paving and construction of a new ramp will close the on ramp from Route 273 to southbound I-29, and at the Platte River Bridge and Platte River Overflow Bridge through July 15. Traffic to Fairgrounds Road must follow a signed detour.

I-29: Bridge repairs will close the left lane of southbound I-29 between Route 273 and Route HH near Platte City through July 15.

I-29: Ramp replacement and bridge repairs will close the on-ramp from Route 273 to southbound I-29 through July 15.

I-29: Bridge crews will close a lane of northbound I-29 from Route HH to Route 273 at Platte City through Aug. 28, when redecking work is expected to conclude.

I-435: Pavement repairs and paving will close various lanes of northbound and southbound I-435 between Cookingham Drive and 108th Street daytimes through July 1.

Route 9: Construction of new lanes and shoulders will reduce northbound Route 9 to one lane between I-635 and Mattox Road in Riverside through July.

Route 9: Construction of a temporary crossover will close the left lane of southbound Route 9 between Van de Populier and I-635 in Riverside through July.

Route D: Bridge paving will restrict traffic on eastbound and westbound Route D near I-435 beginning Monday, May 12, through July 25.
