Where in the
World is MoDOT?

How an Idea
Becomes a Road

What Does it Cost?

You have a voice in transportation!
Did you realize that MoDOT actively seeks your opinions in many ways and in every project?
Often times you see us when we are on the road, maintaining or making improvements, and may wonder why there? Why now? Why not at another place?
MoDOT's primary responsibility is what we call, "Taking Care of the System."
Taking care of the system involves everything on the road we currently have. From trash pick-up to snow removal to mowing and striping, if it's on our road, or right of way, it is our responsibility to take care of it. This includes adding new surfaces to roads, replacing bridge decks or improving bridges.
New projects that improve the state transportation system is a second priority to taking care of our current system.
In everything we do, you have a voice and can participate in this process. Together, we are moving Missouri forward.
