Route N Bridge Over Prairie Branch

What’s the Problem?

The Route N Bridge just south of Platte City is old and in poor condition. The bridge was built in 1957 and carries more than 2988 vehicles per day. The existing bridge will be replaced with a new one by KTU Constructors.

What Impact Will That Have on My Travel?

During construction, the road will be closed to traffic near the bridge. Signed detours will be in place during the bridge closure.

What’s the Time Frame?

Work is expected to get underway in March 2010. Once construction begins, the crew will have no more than 40 days to complete the work and reopen the bridge.
