Photos from Sept. 25-29:

150 kindergartners from Mills Elementary School in Lake Ozark toured the Route 5 project on Sept. 28. Over 300 more 1st and 2nd graders visited the site the following day. Both the children and their teachers were amazed at the size of the equipment.

Each class took turn walking around a track hoe, dump truck and bulldozer. The equipment was parked at the Camdenton maintenance building, which is adjacent to the construction site.

Areas with completed excavation receive a layer of grass seed and mulch to help prevent erosion.

Work continues on the Lake Road 5-89 bridge, which will eventually go over the new Route 5 and carry traffic from Lake Roads 5-84 and 5-89.
