JEFFERSON CITY - The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the week of Feb. 6-10, 2012. Weather conditions may cause postponements in the work schedule. Other construction or maintenance work may occur on other roadways throughout the area. Many projects will include lane closures and delays can be expected. MoDOT reminds the public to buckle up, slow down, follow posted signing and drive safely through work areas. Boone County
Daylight Hours/Overnight Hours
Route 63 from just north of Route 163 to Route H – Construction of a new diamond interchange and southbound lanes. Motorists should expect periodic lane closures.
*Route H is temporarily closed at U.S. 63. Traffic is being detoured to Hardwick Lane, located near the U.S. 63 roadside park. Route H will remain closed at U.S. 63 until the new interchange opens to traffic.
*The contractor continues with bridge construction at Turkey Creek and at Route H.
*Motorists should be prepared for periodic reductions in speed limits through the work area.
The entire project is scheduled for completion late 2012.

Route E between I-70 and Route 124 – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, Feb,. 6 through Friday, Feb. 17. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route OO between Route 124 and Route Z – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, Feb. 6 through Friday, Feb. 10. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route ZZ between Scott Boulevard and end of state maintenance – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, Feb. 6 through Friday, Feb. 17. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route D between Route 94 and Route O – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, Feb. 6 through Friday, Feb. 10. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 7 between Route 5 and Route E – Roadway maintenance and repair will take place Friday, Feb. 10 through Friday, Feb. 17. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route A between Route 54 and Route E – Roadway maintenance and repair will take place Monday, Feb. 6 through Thursday, Feb. 9. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Cole County
Route 54 between Old Bass Road and Route CC – Improvements at 12 intersections along 8.5 miles of U.S. 54 to improve safety and traffic flow.
* Most work on the project is suspended for the winter, but crews will be working off the roadway at Buffalo Road and installing lighting in various locations. Work to install lighting will take place on the shoulder of the roadway.
The entire corridor is scheduled for completion in fall 2012.
Route 179 between Route C and Edgewood Drive – Grading, drainage, and bridge paving for a new interchange. Periodic lane closures may occur, and motorists are advised to use caution through the area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2012.
Route 179 between Route N and Jefferson City limits – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, Feb. 6 through Friday, Feb. 10. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route J between Routes 50/63 and the end of state maintenance – Roadway maintenance will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 8. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Daylight Hours
Interstate 70 over the Lamine River – Bridge maintenance and repair will take place in the eastbound and westbound lanes Monday, Feb. 6 through Thursday, Feb. 16. One lane in each direction will be open to traffic in the work area.
Route 41 bridge over the Lamine River, approximately one mile north of Interstate 70 - Bridge maintenance and repair will take place on Friday, Feb. 10. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 87 between I-70 and Route J – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, Feb. 6 through Friday, Feb. 17. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area

Route 28 bridge over Dry Fork two miles south of Route Z – The bridge has been reduced to one lane. The bridge is scheduled for replacement in March as part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.
Route 52 between Route 133 and St. Elizabeth in Miller County – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, Feb. 6 through Wednesday, Feb. 8. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
