Report Shows Big Improvement in Missouri Roads Missouri's rank in overall performance of its state highway system jumped 11 spots in one year, from 28th in 2004 to 17th in 2005, according to figures released recently by the Reason Foundation - the second-largest increase in the nation, trailing only Nevada. Report TRIP Report Cites Road Improvements, Funding ConcernsAnother national report, this one by TRIP, shows Missouri has made significant highway improvements with the money provided by Amendment 3, but additional funding is still needed to tackle projects that would ease congestion, make highways safer and promote economic development. TRIP It’s Almost Show Time for the 2007 Missouri State Fair It’s Show Time is the theme for this year’s Missouri State Fair, which will run from Aug. 9-19 in Sedalia. MoDOT is also planning a big show at the fair. The Transportation Exposition Center will feature several displays including one for the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program and the 20th anniversary of the Missouri Adopt-A-Highway program.
